ABOUT JACKIE
HELLO!
My name is Jackie Laniado, and I am a Registered Dietitian specializing in prenatal nutrition living in sunny San Diego, California.
I am passionate about empowering, encouraging, and educating women about their nutrition in such an essential part of their lives.
In 2024, I became a mom myself and went through pregnancy—so I truly understand what it's like to be pregnant, both emotionally and physically. This personal experience has deepened my passion and empathy for supporting women during this transformative time.
Prenatal nutrition does not need to be complicated, confusing, or intimidating. It can be easy, approachable, and, most importantly, FUN!
BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE:
In 2020, I graduated from San Diego State University, where I completed my Bachelors in Foods and Nutrition and the Didactic Program in Dietetics. During my time at SDSU, I served as president of the Nutrition Committee at the SDSU Adaptive Fitness Clinic, worked on research labs, and volunteered at different organizations.
I then moved forward to complete my Dietetic Internship with the University of Delaware, where I completed rotations in community nutrition, food service management, and clinical nutrition totaling 1200 hours of supervised practice. A few months later, after completing my Dietetic Internship, I passed my national examination for Dietitians.
Since becoming a Registered Dietitian, I have had the privilege of working with over 100 pregnant women, helping them achieve their pregnancy nutrition goals through personalized, evidence-based guidance and support.
I continue to expand my expertise through continuing education and experience to better serve you and give you evidence-based recommendations.
I work remotely, helping women have a positive prenatal, pregnancy, and postpartum nutrition experience by providing an individualized health program that gives them the confidence to make decisions without the need to google or feel overwhelmed with controversial information out there.
I am bilingual in English and Spanish and provide my services in both languages.
If you'd like to work with me, fill out my program application, and I will get back to you shortly.

CLIENT TESTIMONIALS
Having Jackie as part of my pregnancy journey has been life changing. I am pregnant with twins and spent the last 2 months with morning sickness every day, multiple times a day. After my consultation with her, she gave strategies for meals that I could implement immediately, while explaining the science behind why she gave me those suggestions. Everything she recommended were things I could actually do given what I told her I could tolerate and what I couldn’t. In addition to how knowledgeable she is about nutrition specifically during pregnancy, she is understanding, kind, and reassuring that each day will get better. I will continue working with her throughout my pregnancy since I know both me and my babies nutrition will be in great hands throughout my pregnancy.
— Reina, First-time mom, pregnant with twins
Before working with Jackie, I was honestly terrified of food during pregnancy.
I felt confused, overwhelmed, and scared that everything I put in my mouth could somehow hurt my baby. But Jackie completely changed that.
She helped me understand what my body and baby actually needed, without fear or guilt. Now I feel confident choosing foods that nourish us both, and for the first time, I actually enjoy eating while pregnant.
Working with her gave me so much peace of mind.
— Eva, first-time mom
When I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes, I felt completely lost. I didn’t know what to eat, I was afraid of doing something wrong, and every meal felt like a guessing game. Then I started working with Jackie, and everything changed.
She broke things down in a way that actually made sense, helped me create balanced meals, and gave me the confidence to manage my blood sugars without stress. Now I know exactly how to eat for me and my baby.
Jackie was truly the support I didn’t know I needed.
